Events Roundup: One World. One Love.

IT'S MOVIE TIME, Y'ALL:

- Today, the One World human rights film festival kicks off in Prague and you can see tons of great documentaries from all over the world, with English titles where it applies, and at 70 Kč a pop. What's not to love?

Today, only one movie is showing, Green Days, which starts out in pre-election Iran and follows a depressed theater director who experiences the euphoria before the election and the brutal beat-down of protests after. It's showing at 7:30 p.m. at Světozor .

MUSIC:

- The Broken Glass Quartet is playing at Hush Cafe tonight at 7 p.m., it's free to get in and looks like their style is latin/bossa nova/funk.

-Music Quiz at The Globe, y'all. Show off your inner music nerd and impress the gentlemen and the ladies. Starts at 8 p.m., hosted by the fabulous Dany. You can win stuff, for example free beer.

HEALTHY BARHOPPING:

-Tonight is National Non Smoking Day at the Royal Oak, which will observe it by turning into a non-smoking venue. Duh! I imagine that must be really nice for non-smokers, though.

FOOD:

-Things are getting saucy over at Gallery Hunger (U Rajské Zahrady 2), where Michael Corkery will teach you how to make a mean Sauce Vellouté and Beurre Blanc, along with preparation techniques for fish and fish stock. It starts at 7 p.m. and attending the workshop comes with dinner, so at 500 Kč, that's not a bad deal at all!
